The Alliance Dojo 71 organized its 1st women’s self-defense workshop with great success as 25 women and young girls came to discover this activity.
The workshop was led by Géraldine Tavernier, a black belt in contact karate and specialist in self-defense, in the presence of Gabriel Piejak, Technical Director, a 6th dan black belt.
It was a discovery workshop where women were able to learn different simple and effective techniques.
As a reminder, self-defense is an integral part of the French Judo Federation, which is an Olympic federation and under the auspices of the ministry to which Alliance Dojo 71 belongs.
This was the first step before a 2nd workshop scheduled for May or June, open to both women and men.
The goal is to form groups to start a daily activity from September 2026 in Montchanin and Montceau. If you are interested in this type of activity, do not hesitate to contact Alliance Dojo 71 via Facebook, Instagram, or email at alliancedojo71@gmail.com.
We will be happy to welcome you in one of our sections.
Thank you to Géraldine for the quality of the intervention appreciated by all participants.
