Mel B is getting ready to dive into the ruthless world of Squid Game! Netflix has just unveiled the cast of Squid Game: The VIP Challenge, the celebrity version of its hit reality show inspired by the successful Korean series, and the Spice Girl is part of it. “Squid Games (sic) is about to become really Scary!” teased the one nicknamed Scary Spice on Instagram, playing on her legendary nickname.
The 50-year-old former singer joins an eclectic cast including Dylan Efron (brother of Zac, previously seen in The Traitors), NBA champion Tristan Thompson (also Khloé Kardashian’s ex), Kim Zolciak (The Real Housewives of Atlanta), Hannah Godwin (The Bachelor), star real estate agent Ryan Serhant (Owning Manhattan), content creator Kristy Sarah, and Viper, a former contestant voted by fans to return to the competition.
This participation is part of a busy year for Mel B in 2026, as the pop world celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Spice Girls. The Royal Mint also announced on Monday a limited edition commemorative coin featuring the group’s image.
For Mel B, a familiar face on TV as a judge on America’s Got Talent, The X Factor, and The Masked Singer Australia, this journey to the other side of the competition promises to be exciting. It remains to be seen when Netflix will air this competition.
