Nîmes Olympique
Touré misses Cannes. The clash against AS Cannes at the Antonins stadium could be the last chance for the Crocodiles, who cannot afford to make any mistakes. However, facing the leaders of Pool C, Gazélec Ajaccio, with a one-point lead over Nîmes Olympique, the Gardois will be without the services of striker Bissourou Touré. Touré, who scored four goals and had two assists in eleven matches, will be suspended for the next match but can play against Hyères on Saturday. The Antonins stadium saw a record attendance of 7,392 spectators against Saint-Maur, surpassing the previous record of 6,486. This season, a total of 71,382 spectators attended matches at the Antonins stadium.
RALLYE WRC2
Historic double for the Rossel brothers. Yohan Rossel won the WRC2 Rally in Croatia this weekend, ahead of his younger brother Léo. They led a Saint-Jean-du-Gard trio on the podium. Yohan Rossel’s victory also marked the return of Lancia Ypsilon to WRC2, a triumph for Stellantis brands Citroën and Lancia. The next WRC2 championship round will be in the Canary Islands from April 23 to 26.
Nîmes Archery Club
Good start to the season for Addis and Fremery Delestan. The first leg of the 2026 World Cup for outdoor archery took place in Puebla, Mexico. Mila Fremery Delestan finished in 6th place in her debut international senior selection, while Baptiste Addis secured first place in the qualifications but lost in the 1/8 finals. Other Nîmes archers struggled with windy conditions and new challenges at this level.
Aikido
Ancient Aikido in Cévennes. The Aikikai club in Saint-Martin-de-Valgalgues hosted a Birankai France stage with 50 practitioners from across France. Led by Patrick Barthélémy, the stage focused on Aikido techniques, principles, and martial efficiency. Grading sessions were also held during the event.
