Cameron Woki was one of the main contributors to UBB’s victory in the Champions Cup quarter-finals against Stade Toulousain (30-15). The third-row player was particularly valuable in the lineouts.

If UBB prevailed in the air, it was largely thanks to their third-row player Cameron Woki. The former Racingman delivered an outstanding performance, confirming his central role in the Bordeaux lineout.

From the very beginning, he asserted his presence in the lineout, repeatedly securing clean ball takes and providing valuable ammunition for his team. His reading of the throws and his timing consistently troubled the Toulouse lineout, known for its expertise in this area. As a result, UBB achieved a success rate of 94.12% compared to only 72.73% for Stade Toulousain. This dominance in the air often allowed Bordeaux to establish themselves in the opposition’s half and impose their game, especially by constructing numerous effective driving mauls.

He confirms his growing influence

Beyond the lineout, the French international was omnipresent in open play. Active in the breakdown zones, he made defensive interventions and offered offensive solutions thanks to his mobility. His ability to make himself available at crucial moments often helped maintain the continuity of Bordeaux’s game. He was also very active in defense, notably preventing a Toulouse player from scoring at the beginning of the match. Already impressive in the round of 16 against Leicester, Woki confirmed his growing influence in this final phase.
