The Bear Brothers distillery, located at the heart of the agro-biopole in Auzeville-Tolosane, achieved a historic triple win at the 2026 International Lyon Competition, one of the most demanding spirits competitions in the world. The Gin BB10, Gin BB13, and Vodka Clémentina each secured a gold medal, solidifying the Toulouse distillery’s status among excellent artisanal houses. Out of thousands of samples blind-tasted by an international jury of experts, Bear Brothers stood out with three distinctions. This accolade crowns five years of commitment to artisanal, organic distillation firmly rooted in the Occitan terroir. “These distinctions are the result of relentless work and unlimited passion for our craft. Each medal rewards our commitment: distilling the essential with fresh and organic ingredients, while respecting our environment and terroir,” explained Julien Caruana, one of the co-founders of Bear Brothers Distillery with his brother Alexandre and friend Frédéric. This triple accolade adds to a strong list of achievements: gold medals at the Paris General Agricultural Competition (2023 and 2025), Gin Guide Awards 2024, and World Gin Awards 2024. Certified by ECOCERT and recognized as an Artisan Militant of Quality by the Collège Culinaire de France (community founded by Alain Ducasse), the distillery produces 100% of its spirits without additives or chemical flavors. Their model is based on four pillars: Ultra-short circuit, 5 hectares of plantations within 5 km of the distillery (1,500 m2 of greenhouses, 670 fruit trees, 1,300 juniper bushes). Cutting-edge distillation with Stupfler® copper stills, 50% energy savings compared to classic stills. Zero waste: 100% recycled water, plant residues fully utilized, 100% organic.
