“What is Puremédias l’Hebdo?”

Nearly 7 months after the end of “C médiatique” on France 5, KIOSCO.TV, the production hub of the Webedia-Elephant group and T18 decided to bring back a media decryption show to the airwaves. On February 1st, the new TNT channel thus launched “Puremédias l’Hebdo”, presented by Virginie Guilhaume. This new weekly program, broadcast every Sunday at lunchtime, is part of the channel’s strategy to strengthen its policy of creating original content. It becomes the fifth weekly appointment consecrated by T18, enriching a well-structured programming focused on recurring shows firmly established in the schedule. “The media tell our time as much as they shape it. With ‘Puremédias, the weekly’, we wanted to take a fair and concrete look at what is really happening, on screen as well as behind the scenes,” said Christopher Baldelli, president of T18.

This program also marks the return of Virginie Guilhaume to television. After making a name for herself in entertainment by hosting “Nouvelle Star” in 2009 and 2010, the presenter returns to a domain where she was not necessarily expected. “I have a press card, I started by attending journalism school. I really wanted to do it, but I was not necessarily expected to do so. I was immediately offered entertainment. Returning to my first loves is extremely natural and logical for me,” she confided in an interview with Puremédias.

In this show, Viriginie Guilhaume promises to focus on all media, not just television: “It seems unthinkable to me to consider that the media world is limited to television, radio or print media. Today, the media also include content creators, social networks, platforms like Netflix, Canal+, Spotify, TF1+ or even the world of podcasts. It’s all that creates this interesting ecosystem, and the idea is to bridge the gap between these different ways of accessing content.”
