For the sixth season of “Traitors,” M6 is pulling out all the stops. In this edition, Studio 89’s production is innovating by introducing an unprecedented rule, a “French creation,” as indicated by Mathieu Chevignac, the artistic producer of the program, during the press conference.
A new role is introduced among the loyalists and traitors. With his green cape, the “Accursed Traitor” has the power to disrupt the game. The candidate, carefully chosen by Éric Antoine, the program’s host, will be alone against everyone for 48 hours and must identify his allies with the red cape, otherwise a curse will fall on the traitors and put them in peril. Another novelty, candidates can film themselves after the roundtable to share their feelings. This new feature allows players to open up about their suspicions, doubts, alliances, or strategies.
Casting Heteroclite
For this edition, 22 personalities from all walks of life have volunteered to participate in the game hosted by Éric Antoine at the Bourdel domain. Last December, on the set of “Tout beau, tout n9uf,” Cyril Hanouna was amused by guessing the names of the candidates for “Traitors,” although his list was far from exhaustive.
From the 1998 World Cup champion to a contemporary sculptor, or even comedians, the cast mixes many universes. These diverse personalities promise alliances as unexpected as they are strategic. Of the 22 competing personalities, three will play the role of traitors, one will become the accursed traitor for 48 hours, while the other eighteen will remain loyal. It remains to be seen if, at the end of this season, the traitors will triumph over the loyalists. Last year, Christine Bravo, Marlène Schiappa, and Théo Fernandez won the game by concealing the red capes.
