The Utopia de Tournefeuille will host a symphonic music and artists’ collective life evening on Monday, April 13th at 8 p.m. This event includes the premiere screening of the documentary film “Nous l’orchestre”, lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes, followed by a meeting with various professionals and students from the music industry. The session is accessible at regular cinema rates.

Directed by Philippe Béziat, this feature film was awarded the Grand Prize for Musical Documentary at the FIPADOC 2026. The film immerses viewers into the heart of the Paris Orchestra, capturing the daily life of the one hundred twenty musicians under the direction of their young prodigious conductor, Klaus Mäkelä. Through a sensitive approach, the film explores the complexity of collective balance, questioning how each individuality manages to thrive within a massive sound mass while decoding the fundamental role of the conductor.

The screening will be followed by a privileged exchange with a panel of guests representing the diversity of musical backgrounds. The speakers will include Lamar Elias, conductor, Carlos Vizcaino Gijon, violinist at the Toulouse Chamber Orchestra, Marion Dinse, bassoonist at the Orchestra of the School of Artistic Education, and Florence Colnat, a student in conducting at isdaT. This discussion will deepen the themes addressed in the documentary and share the realities of being an orchestra musician.
