The Regional Council and the National Office of Artistic Distribution are contributing to a fund dedicated to live performances to the tune of 150,000 euros.
Statement from the Regional Council of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté dated April 9, 2026: The Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region and the Onda (National Office of Artistic Distribution) have signed a partnership agreement to promote the national influence of regional works and support the changes in live performances in the area. This strategic support aims to remove barriers to artist mobility while strengthening the cooperation dynamics between local cultural structures.
The official signing will take place on Thursday, April 16, at the Regional Council in Dijon (Côte-d’Or), in the presence of Bertrand VEAU, Vice-President of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region for Culture and Heritage, and Marie-Pia BUREAU, Director of Onda.
With this agreement, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté is one of the first regions in France to formalize such a collaboration with Onda.
Given the current difficulties in distributing works and the new environmental, societal, and economic challenges, the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region and Onda have decided to join forces. This strategic partnership aims to achieve two key objectives: enhance the mobility of regional artists and promote cooperation between distribution structures (theaters, cultural seasons, festivals) in the area.
A dedicated fund for live performances
To materialize this commitment, the Region is contributing financially with a sum of 50,000 euros to Onda’s initiatives. This support raises the total fund allocated to the sector in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté to 150,000 euros (two-thirds from Onda and one-third from the Region).
This funding will notably: – Support the circulation of regional artists. – Back initiatives of cooperation focused on the sustainability of creation. – Facilitate the renewal of interactions with residents in new territories.
An open partnership for all aesthetics
The agreement encompasses a wide range of artistic genres: theater, dance, circus, puppetry, as well as creative music (contemporary and improvised). It includes shows for both adults and youths, whether presented in theaters, under tents, or in public spaces.
“I have made support for culture a regional priority. We have chosen to protect the funds allocated to culture for 2026 when many other municipalities are making budget cuts in this area. This agreement with Onda is a concrete lever for removing barriers to distribution and allowing the talent of our regional artists to shine on the national stage as a whole.” – Jérôme DURAIN, President of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region.
A webinar presentation dedicated to professionals in the sector will take place on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 2 p.m. The connection link is available on the page: www.onda.fr/conventionbfc
