Profoundly touched by her husband’s death, Naomi Sheehan paid a vibrant tribute to him. In a heartfelt message, she highlighted how Michael Patrick had impacted everyone he encountered: “It has been said many times that Mick was an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him, not only in these last years during his illness, but every day of his life.” Strong words that show the impact he had on those around him.

Continuing her tribute, the widow painted a picture filled with light and energy, recalling the unique personality of her husband. She added, “He lived as rich a life as possible. Joy, vitality, contagious laughter. An exceptional red-haired man.” A message full of tenderness, emphasizing Michael Patrick’s zest for life and optimism, portraying him as deeply loved and admired by his loved ones.

The actor seen in Game of Thrones and Blue Lights

Among his most notable roles, Michael Patrick stood out in Game of Thrones, portraying a Wildling in an episode of season 6. He then continued to make appearances on screen, notably in Blue Lights, My Left Nut, Soft Border Patrol, and This Town, aired on HBO. Beyond his acting career, he also excelled as a screenwriter. He had co-written the series My Left Nut, drawing direct inspiration from his own adolescence. His wife, Naomi Sheehan, thanked the public for their support and shared a poignant message: “Mick loved this quote by Brendan Behan, and it resonates particularly today: ‘The most important things in the world are to eat, drink, and be loved.’ So, don’t think too much. Eat. Drink. Love.” A simple and meaningful conclusion, reflecting the kind of man he was. His passing comes shortly after that of Eric Dane, also affected by Charcot’s disease.
