Musikonnection offers a vibrant moment on Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16, during a gospel workshop led by Anne-Marielle Comuce. Highly anticipated, this inspiring choir director returns to Villefranche-de-Rouergue to share, with generosity, all the joy and energy of gospel music.

Born in Spain to a Spanish-American family passionate about singing, Anne-Marielle grew up surrounded by music. Self-taught, she learned to play the guitar and piano at a young age, took to the stage in her adolescence, and has since never stopped bringing gospel music to life. Her time in the United States, at the heart of African-American churches, has deeply influenced her journey and nurtured her authenticity.

Today, she directs and co-directs two vocal ensembles: the Bo’Heart Gospel choir at the Bressuire conservatory and the Parthlight Gospel choir at the music school in Partenay. With over 30 years of experience, she now imparts more than just singing: a true emotion. She gently, rigorously, and kindly guides singers of all backgrounds.

For two days, beginners and experienced singers will be invited to let themselves be carried away, to resonate together, and to rediscover the great gospel standards. The workshop will take place at the Hôtel des Fleurines and will end with a shared moment open to all: a public performance on Saturday at 5 pm, at the Augustins Church. A beautiful musical and human rendezvous not to be missed!
