The leisure base of La Ramée will host an unusual event on Saturday, April 11. The Cani-Solidarity Challenge, organized by the ATPA SPA refuge in Toulouse with the support of students from the IUT GEA Ponsan, promises an afternoon that is both sporty, educational, and committed, dedicated to the cause of animals.
From 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM, the general public is invited to come and discover this event open to all, with or without a dog. The heart of the event revolves around a playful cani-hiking course, with about fifty participants divided into small groups.
For approximately two hours, humans and their four-legged companions will navigate a marked course punctuated by six challenges. The program includes awareness questions about abandonment and animal well-being, as well as practical exercises to strengthen the bond with one’s dog. An original way to combine physical activity, reflection, and sharing in a friendly atmosphere.
Objective: animal well-being
Beyond this challenge, an entire village dedicated to animal well-being will come to life at the site of La Ramée. Visitors can stroll among the stands of committed exhibitors, attend demonstrations, or try out different disciplines such as canicross, canine flair, Hoopers, or even canicross biking. An area will also be dedicated to presenting the animals of the refuge, offering the public the opportunity to better understand these dogs awaiting adoption.
The event also aims to raise awareness. By emphasizing the essential rules – dogs on leash, identified and vaccinated – the organizers emphasize the importance of responsible adoption and sustainable commitment to animals.
But behind the festive aspect, the stakes are real. All profits will be donated to the ATPA SPA refuge in Toulouse to finance the care, feeding, and training of rescued animals. Each participation, each visit, thus concretely contributes to improving the daily lives of these companions waiting for a new home.
Between sports challenges, activities, and solidarity commitments, this Cani-Solidarity Challenge promises to be a pivotal event where love for animals and a spirit of solidarity come together.
