The International Adrien-Ryuet Challenge, organized by US Montagnarde, is returning on Saturday, April 18th, at the Mané-Braz stadium in Inzinzac-Lochrist. This event, now well-established, attracts prestigious clubs every year in the U9 category. “The challenge is recognized. Today, it’s easier to bring teams in. They know the level is high and they appreciate the organization, format, and setting,” highlights organizer Mickaël Tison. This reputation allows for a high-quality lineup.
Juventus, Porto, Sporting, PSG, and more Among the headliners, Juventus Turin will be back, along with FC Porto, a regular for four years. Sporting Lisbon, last year’s finalist, will be aiming for the title this time. A German team, familiar with European competitions, will also make an appearance. From the French side, Nice, Saint-Étienne, Strasbourg, and the PSG Academy will be present, along with several Breton formations increasingly represented in this challenge.
Beyond the sports aspect, the essential focus is elsewhere. “We bring children together. We primarily want everything to go well for them, for them to arrive and leave in good health,” insists Mickaël Tison. The organization will remain vigilant until all delegations arrive. The kickoff is scheduled for 9 a.m., with the final expected around 5:30 p.m. or 6 p.m.
A solidarity event The event will also have a charitable dimension: the entrance fees will be donated to the “Un toit deux générations” association, which helps young people find housing in the Lorient area. The organizers hope for a large audience for this day of football and sharing.
The numerous volunteers will be hard at work all week preparing the stadium and ensuring the best possible welcome for players and spectators. Various activities will be offered throughout the day, along with a refreshment stand and food options.
