President Donald Trump deems Iran-US ceasefire proposal significant

President Donald Trump stated on Monday that the ceasefire proposal between Iran and the United States is “very significant” but “not enough”.

The American President further emphasized that “It’s not good enough yet, but it’s a very significant step,” during an exchange with journalists on the sidelines of an Easter ceremony at the White House.

On the 38th day of the war, diplomatic efforts continue despite the conflict claiming thousands of lives, mainly in Iran and Lebanon.

Rescued pilots “doing very well”

The American President also commented on the rescue of two American pilots from the F-15E fighter-bomber that crashed in Iran. “They are doing very well (…) they are getting better,” he assured.
