A Morning of Sports, Games, and Sharing with Over 150 Children Gathered at Kids Athlé in Forcalquier

The second edition of Kids Athlé, organized by the Wild Trail Forcalquier club, took place on the athletics track of the communal stadium. It was a morning dedicated to sports, sharing, and games, made possible thanks to the involvement of about forty volunteers, parents, and club members.

Designed for children aged 6 to 11, this free event, available by registration, is open to licensed members of athletics clubs in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and Hautes-Alpes regions, as well as young people from the Pays de Forcalquier-Montagne de Lure area. The goal is to introduce athletics to as many people as possible.

16 workshops offered

This year, more than 150 children participated, divided into eight “Awakening Athletics” teams (6-8 years old) and nine “Poussins” teams (9-11 years old). Throughout the morning, they took part in 16 workshops, including obstacle courses, relay races, tug of war, vortex throwing, medicine ball exercises, and triple jump.

A couple from the Laragne area praised the initiative: “It’s really great. Our children rarely have the opportunity to practice these disciplines, and for us, it’s difficult to take them to distant clubs.” This was met with great satisfaction from the participants…
