In a world where appearance is constantly scrutinized, host Sophie Davant has made rare confessions about her approach to cosmetic surgery. “I like aesthetic procedures that respect the face and give it a natural glow without transforming it. Instead of cosmetic surgery, I prefer aesthetic medicine,” she explains. At 62, far from radical transformations, the star prefers aesthetic medicine over surgery, as it enhances natural facial features.
“When working in television, it’s important to look presentable,” she reveals. The host admits to having had multiple injections of Botox and hyaluronic acid, common practices to combat signs of aging. She has also turned to laser treatments to reduce pigmentation spots and wrinkles.
These practices, which she justifies by her image-based profession as a television host, create a societal inequality remark about aging between genders. “Criticism towards women is much harsher than towards men. We accept gray hair and visible wrinkles in men, who are considered charming. But a woman aging is often criticized,” she states.
Sophie Davant reflects on a failed aesthetic medicine intervention. Despite seeming at ease with her aesthetic routine, she has faced setbacks. Ten years ago, while visiting a clinic to please a friend, the facility’s director suggested lip injections, a decision she regretted. “The result was absolutely catastrophic. When William Leymergie and my entire show’s team saw me, it was a disaster. William was shocked by my deformed mouth, and I was laughing,” she recalls.
However, Sophie Davant, who owns a home in Normandy, approached the incident with humor, turning it into a laughing matter. “The solution I found was to laugh about it. Humor helps in these situations,” she says, turning the mishap into a valuable lesson. Since then, she has made an important decision to not be influenced by aesthetic offers without thorough consideration. “I was very careful afterwards,” she concludes.
