This Easter weekend promises to be entertaining in downtown Alès, thanks in large part to the initiative of the two main associations of merchants, UCIA and the Association of Merchants in Town (Acev).
The Acev aims to showcase “a vibrant, dynamic, and committed heart of the city” and to “build connections with customers” by organizing an event called “The Magic Showcase” from Saturday, April 4th to April 25th. Participants are invited to estimate the total value of a display window at 31 rue d’Avéjan without going over. To assist participants, the price of each item on display is posted by the participating merchants, who also have entry forms available. This event offers a great opportunity to explore downtown shops while having fun, as stated by Acev.
The person who comes closest to the actual total value of the showcase without going over will win all the contents. In the event of a tie, a draw will determine the winner, taking place on April 28th.
The UCIA is also back with “Robin’s Eggs, the Alès Rabbit”, an event featuring an Easter egg hunt full of surprises in the shopping streets on Saturday, April 4th from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm starting at Martyrs-de-la-Resistance square (where necessary leaflets can be obtained).
There are many prizes to win, including a tablet, smartphone, “CCInside” gift cards worth 100 euros, vouchers valid in various Alès establishments, chocolate eggs, and more. Winners will be selected through a draw on April 6th at 6:00 pm, with results posted on the “Alès Shopping” Facebook page. Further details can be found on www.robinlelapin.fr.
Additionally, on Sunday, April 5th and Monday, April 6th, the French Red Cross is organizing an Easter egg hunt in Alès. On Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Tour vieille park on avenue d’Anduze, and on Monday at the same time in Cordeliers park in downtown Anduze.
