Students from the Saulxures school have benefited from a series of gymnastics activities led by Bertrand Fraisse, a sports educator at Grand Langres, made available to schools upon request.
Bertrand Fraisse’s last session took place on Tuesday, March 31, marking the end of the project. Every Tuesday since the winter vacation, he has worked with children from CP to CM, totaling 22 students. Through various sessions, he introduced students to different gymnastic practices, tailored to their age and abilities. Weather permitting, activities were held outdoors on the petanque field, refurbished last autumn by Sebastien Carrier, a municipal councilor and parent of students. This space was appreciated for its pleasant setting. If the weather did not allow it, sessions were held in the village hall, provided by the Saulxures municipality. Throughout this program, Bertrand Fraisse worked closely with the school’s teachers. Together, they conducted sessions that adhered to safety rules and physical education programs. Rhythmic activities with music promoted student engagement while developing coordination, motor skills, and teamwork. Beyond the technical aspects, these sports activities mainly aimed to boost children’s self-confidence by encouraging progress and pride in their achievements.
On Tuesday, March 31, each student presented their own gymnastic routines they had devised. It was a rewarding experience for the students, who will likely cherish these dynamic and stimulating moments.
