In the United States, the administration of Donald Trump launched an official mobile application on March 27th to directly disseminate its information to the public. This platform includes features that allow users to report individuals to ICE.

Presented by the White House as an unfiltered communication tool, the app promises live broadcasts, real-time updates directly from the source, without filters. The conversation everyone is watching is now at your fingertips. It also offers alerts on major announcements, the ability to follow official speeches, and access to a library of multimedia content.

A special button for reporting illegal immigrants is included in the app. According to The Hill, the app features sections such as a news feed with official statements, a photo gallery, and a tab with the White House’s social media. Users can also send a message to the president, contact the administration, or subscribe to a newsletter.

But one of the most sensitive elements involves the integration of a direct access to an “ICE Tip Line.” This feature allows users to submit information to the immigration agency. The app includes a button redirecting to the official Immigration and Customs Enforcement reporting form, making it easier to report individuals suspected of being in irregular situations.

According to CNBC, the app also highlights some achievements of Donald Trump’s second term, offering selected content and dedicated pages to his political priorities. A section on the cost of living claims, based on official data, that prices of some everyday products have decreased.

However, CNBC points out that this information is incomplete. Some products with increased prices are not mentioned, and key elements like the rise in energy prices due to the conflict with Iran are missing. Despite the promise of live streaming, some presidential events were not available in real-time at the app’s launch.
