The Beuchay Film Company was honored at the Cinema at the Poster on Saturday, March 28th and Sunday, March 29th. “The Treasure of the Fairies” and its sequel, “The Secrets of the Grimoire,” were screened. The director and actors attended both screenings to interact with the audience. Only six (Saturday) and nine (Sunday) people attended.
Established in 2018 in Langres, it started by producing short films before venturing into a fantasy film with “The Treasure of the Fairies.” While the adventures of the heroine Iris are captivating, the film also showcases various sites and villages around Langres. Under the direction of Sébastien Blondin, actors and technicians volunteered. In “The Treasure of the Fairies,” Iris, an orphan, moves to the countryside with her brother, encountering unsettling characters.
In the sequel, titled “The Secrets of the Grimoire,” Iris’ adventures become even more fantastical, including time jumps to the Middle Ages. Audience members engaged with Sébastien Blondin, the scriptwriter and director, as well as two actors, Lionel Marichal and Samuel Foucard. Questions ranged from filming locations to special effects meticulously crafted by Sébastien.
The company is gearing up for its next film, “Eponine and Sabinus,” focusing on a couple of Gallic heroes. They are seeking male and female actors aged 25 to 35 and will hold auditions on Wednesday at 10 am and Thursday, April 9 at 6 pm. Interested individuals can sign up at 06.52.02.10.97 or lebeuchaylefilm@gmail.com.
