The Iranian army promised on Thursday, April 2, “crushing” attacks against the United States and Israel after President Donald Trump threatened to bring Iran back to the “stone age” with massive bombings in the weeks to come.
“With the confidence in Almighty God, this war will continue until your humiliation, dishonor, final regrets, and surrender,” declared the operational commander of the army, Khatam al-Anbiya, in a statement broadcast by state television.
“Expect even more overwhelming, larger, and more destructive actions,” he adds.
In an unprecedented address since the beginning of the war, the American president promised on Wednesday to hit Iran “extremely hard” for another two to three weeks, threatening in particular its energy infrastructure, and said he was “close to fulfilling” American strategic objectives in the country.
Donald Trump also reiterated his calls for countries dependent on the Strait of Hormuz for their oil shipments to “take care of it”: “Go to the strait, take it, protect it, use it,” said the one who criticizes many NATO allied countries for not coming to the aid of the United States.
