During the vernissage of the “Treasures of the World” exhibition, Christine Coursaget, President of the Confolens Festival, expressed hopes of finding a suitable setting for the treasures discovered that evening, possibly within a cultural hub. The exhibition, organized by the costume commission headed by Maryline Gasperi, received unanimous praise from visitors and is open daily until April 5th. The President believes this event marks an important milestone in the cultural development of the Charente Limousine region.

There is a call for the creation of a cultural hub within the former Émile-Roux school in Confolens, aimed at showcasing a permanent exhibition of the art and history of Charente Limousine. Financing for the project is secured through a territorial contract between the community and the region. Elected officials are urged to support the establishment of this cultural hub, setting the stage for a vibrant cultural scene in the region.

Residents of the Charente Limousine community are offered preferential rates for select shows and concerts during the 68th edition of the Confolens Festival, with reduced prices available until April 30th. Proof of residency is required to benefit from this offer. To book tickets, individuals can call or visit the Festival office directly.
