Ciotti seeks a new City and Metropolis Director
It’s official: Éric Ciotti is looking for someone to take over the general management of the City and Metropolis services.
The new mayor of Nice intends to replace Bastien Nespoulous.
This graduate of the Institute of Political Studies in Bordeaux, specializing in Administration and Public Management, transitioned from chief of staff to general services director in October 2024. This change occurred while Olivier Breuilly, who arrived in March 2022, was slowly – but surely – replaced by Christian Estrosi.
A position available as of June
The announcement to replace this skilled and composed technician was made two days after the election results on March 22, 2026.

The position will be available as of June, when Bastien Nespoulous’s secondment ends.
Éric Ciotti is also making changes within his cabinet. To replace Lauriano Azhineirinha, he has chosen Christophe Picard, former general director of the departmental council services.
He will be assisted by Dénis Cieslik, a very active parliamentary aide during the campaign. In 2022, the man who was then close to Éric Zemmour ran in the legislative elections in the 6th district, under the colors of Reconquête!
As for Olivier Breuilly, his career has taken a political turn, as he has returned as a co-listener and has been entrusted with the Finance delegation.
