Paris, France – Varvara Gracheva, the number 2 French tennis player, announced on Instagram last Tuesday that she tore her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during training last week. “The road to recovery will be long, but I am determined to come back stronger than ever when my body is ready,” emphasized the French player.

“I can’t wait to get back on the court as soon as possible, but in the meantime, stay connected to discover other activities during my recovery,” invited the 25-year-old world number 59 player.

Ranked behind Loïs Boisson in France, Gracheva reached the second round of the Australian Open this season, the quarterfinals of the WTA 1000 in Doha, the second round in Dubai, and had early exits in Indian Wells and Miami.
