At 10 a.m., in the heart of the traditional market, the Pastorale de Nay will sing its songs while strolling through the aisles. On the other hand, Parla Beroy will honor the Béarnais language by displaying descriptions in this language of the products offered by the market traders.

At their stand, the Vath a Hum association will sell tickets for the concert of the Arraditz group, scheduled for Saturday, April 18th at 7 p.m. at the Maison carrée de Nay, as well as the Passem kilometers.

Just a few steps from the market, at the cultural space of Pays de Nay, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., the Conservatoire des légumes anciens du Béarn (Clab) in Assat will lead a social game called “Lo topin, a hum les marmites!”. This educational kit allows children to learn about local food while having fun. The goal is to raise awareness among children about what they eat, the richness of the territory, the language, the culture, and those who feed us daily. Through various tools and games, participants will discover local and traditional Gascon recipes. This kit is part of the territorial food plan of Pays de Béarn, in collaboration with Cirdoc and Ecocène (open and bilingual French/Gascon animation for all ages, free access).

At 11 a.m., Hubert Lassus-Pigat, from Clab d’Assat, will present the lively and colorful book “La Chélidoine”. Written by Jacolet Abadie, a blind author with a rich sensory writing style, the book offers a sensitive and original vision of the plant world, in both French and Gascon. Far from a classic botany manual, it includes humor, legends, and traditions. The plants tell the stories they share with the people of Gascogne (open to all, bilingual French/Gascon, free access).
