Each year, the Rotary clubs of France come together to organize a special cinema session to help brain research. The event features a premiere film screened in approximately 450 theaters, with tickets provided by the clubs, resulting in a successful turnout.
Since the first edition in 2005, known as “Dreams and Cinema,” over 17 million euros have been raised, funding over a hundred projects, including 13 in the Occitanie region (amounting to over 2 million euros).
The screening on March 27, eagerly anticipated with the film “Compostelle,” was fully booked, leading organizers to turn away attendees, including those who had acquired vouchers from Rotarians. The organizing club members ask for understanding from those affected and the public who were unable to attend due to this unfortunate situation. In their defense, a Rotarian explains, “such a turnout is exceptional for this fundraising initiative. Safety rules apply to everyone without exception, and we hope this will be understood.”
