Former Sydney radio broadcaster Jackie “O” Henderson has taken legal action against her employer ARN Media after the Kyle and Jackie O Show came to an end. ARN Media confirmed in a statement to the ASX that Henderson is seeking at least $82 million in compensation. The show, broadcast on KIIS FM, abruptly ended following an on-air dispute between Henderson and co-host Kyle Sandilands. Sandilands was later fired, leading to his own legal action against ARN Media.

ARN Media stated that Henderson made complaints about workplace safety and bullying regarding Sandilands after the on-air incident on February 20. The network disputes Henderson’s claims and plans to defend the lawsuit. Sandilands recently appeared in Federal Court, describing the termination of his contract as traumatic and expressing his desire to return to radio work.

Henderson’s legal action comes shortly after Sandilands’s appearance in court. The pair had a 25-year on-air partnership and were under a combined $200 million contract with ARN Media up to 2034. Sandilands mentioned he has not been able to communicate with Henderson since his suspension. Henderson, on the other hand, expressed sadness over the end of the show but has not yet commented on the current legal situation.
