One year after launching PSG Labs Paris, Paris Saint-Germain continues its push into the world of innovation. In March 2025, the club became the first sports entity to join Station F, the world’s largest startup campus, by opening applications for its sports technology accelerator. By March 2026, the results were clear: nearly 400 startups applied to at least one of the three project calls organized throughout the year, and twelve of them have already been integrated into PSG’s offices at Station F to develop their solutions.

Startups at the Heart of Sports Transformation

Launched under the leadership of Jerry Newman, the club’s Chief Innovation and Digital Officer since 2023, PSG Labs now embody a strategic approach: transforming the club and, beyond that, the sports industry through technology. The Parisian accelerator is based on three innovation axes: athlete performance and health (biometrics, AI, connected sensors), intelligent infrastructures (sustainable and digitalized stadiums and training centers), and fan experience (immersive content, Web3, augmented reality).

The selected young companies received four to six months of support, with privileged access to the club’s network and its global fan base of over 180 million. Some collaborations have already borne fruit: a French startup specializing in predictive injury analysis extended its partnership with the PSG women’s team, while a fan engagement app, tested at several matches at the Parc des Princes, shows interaction rates six times higher than the sector average.

The global sports tech market, valued at over $22 billion in 2026, maintains an annual growth close to 18%, largely driven by artificial intelligence and connected devices. This is a momentum that PSG aims to accompany and anticipate: beyond being just a showcase, PSG Labs functions as an investment and partnership lever for Qatar Sports Investments, the club’s owner.

Station F, Laboratory of French Sports Tech

The choice of Station F, founded by Xavier Niel, remains at the core of the project’s positioning. Located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, this campus of 34,000 square meters houses over a thousand international startups. By setting up a permanent program there, PSG aligns with the open innovation logic that characterizes major technology companies. “Station F and PSG share the same ambition: to make Paris shine. Together, we want to show the world that the future is being built here,” said Niel during the partnership’s launch.

For Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, the acceleration of PSG Labs opens up a new dimension: “We don’t just want to be the club of the future on the field, but also in the way we build the sport of tomorrow. Innovation is at the heart of our identity.” In 2026, this ambition is taking shape: several startups from the first cohort are preparing to raise series-A funding, and PSG plans to open a third Labs in Asia by the end of the year. Innovation has more than ever become a strategic pillar of the Parisian club.
