Reporters questioned Trump about the status of Mojtaba Khamenei, Iran’s newly appointed supreme leader. Trump speculated that Khamenei may still be alive but inferred that he is facing serious challenges following the death of his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Trump reiterated his belief that regime change has occurred in Iran and that the current Iranian leadership appears more reasonable than before.
Regarding the deployment of ground troops to Iran, Trump mentioned that the US is considering various options. He emphasized that the US is making significant progress in Iran, specifically mentioning actions taken against Iran’s air force, missiles, and navy. Trump highlighted positive developments in meetings with Iran, suggesting that important points are being addressed in the negotiations.
