Second League. Thonon Évian GG – EA Guingamp: 2-0

Guingamp coach Jérôme Molinier once again fielded a very young eleven with players from the U19 squad called up to cover numerous injuries. Both teams struggled to play their game with strong gusts of wind sweeping across the synthetic field of Saint Disdille. The Haut-Savoyardes found the net through Zemzem, who muscled her way between two defenders in the 19th minute before beating Poquet (1-0). The Tunisian international had a chance to double the lead but Poquet was alert. Molinier’s players found the net in the 75th minute but Mrs. Efe disallowed the goal for a seemingly unintentional handball. Zemzem secured her team’s success by scoring a double in the 82nd minute. Another disappointment for Guingamp, who will continue to fight to secure their place in the Second League.
