One week of intense emotions for the young girls and boys in competition who gave it their all during this tournament at Le Diamant. In singles or doubles, these young players – aged 18 and under – aiming for a professional career and understanding the importance of tournaments in the Antilles – Guyane region did not spare any effort.

In this 2026 edition, the young players came from France, the United States, Poland, Mexico, Canada, Great Britain, and Israel.

In the second set, the French player made a comeback by being more precise and with shots that troubled Agnamba, Schneider taking the second set 6-4. The final set was very tight, and Elodie Agnamba had to elevate her game to secure her name in the list of winners of this international tournament, winning 6-3 on the scoreboard and bringing great joy to the American.

French Imanol Gosset wins the 2026 edition

The final among the boys was also of high quality. On the court, there was a Franco-American face-off between Frenchman Imanol Gosset, seeded No. 3 in the tournament, and American Alexander Pierce.

The first set saw Alexander Pierce dominate with a flurry of winning shots. Power, precision, and effective first serves, Pierce won the first set 6-1. In the audience, doubts arose about the final favoring the American, but they did not anticipate the determination of the young Frenchman, Imanol Gosset – at only 14 years old – who managed to adjust his defensive game enough to make Pierce doubt. Gosset took the second set 6-3. In the third set, Pierce fought on, showing resistance despite a minor thigh issue, without needing medical assistance.

Four matches in 3 sets in a week as mentioned by the player.

Alexander Pierce eventually lost 7-5 in the final set, allowing Imanol Gosset to add his name to the list of winners of this international tournament. Gosset can now set his sights on Saint-François in Guadeloupe for another international tournament. Note that the 2026 winner played four matches in 3 sets to achieve victory in the tournament.

The TC Diamant can be satisfied as the players unanimously praised the quality of the organization, the tournament, and especially the hospitality.

“It is with immense satisfaction that I close this exceptional week. Our tournament confirms its international appeal by bringing together around sixty young talents from fifteen nations and five continents. Beyond sports excellence, our visitors have unanimously praised the quality of our hospitality and organization. This success is the result of close collaboration with our institutional partners, notably the City of Diamant and the Southern Tourist Office, whom I warmly thank. From the kids’ day full of exchanges, the discovery of pickleball, to the jazzy musical finale, this edition was a true celebration of sports and conviviality.”
