Homicide on the banks of the Saône: suspect actively sought in Lyon

A man around 30 years old was fatally stabbed on the banks of the Saône on Saturday, March 28. The suspect is still at large.

The incident took place just before 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, on Quai Pierre-Scize (Lyon 5th). A young man, around 30 years old, died from a stab wound.

According to information from Le Progrès, the stab was to the carotid artery during a confrontation with another man. Seriously injured, the victim fled into an apartment in a small building managed by Grand Lyon Habitat, before quickly succumbing to his injuries.

The suspect, around 25 years old, described as brunet, bearded, and dressed in black, was reportedly seen nearby, specifically at the bus stop facing the mural of the Lyonnais. He had a knife about 20 centimeters long on his belt.

An investigation is still ongoing to identify and apprehend the perpetrator.
