Another gold medal for the couple. Just two weeks after their Olympic title at the Winter Olympics, they are now world champions. It is the fifth title for Guillaume Cizeron, but a first for his partner. “I shed several tears before skating. I shed a few while we were skating, then a few more after. But they were tears of joy and gratitude,” reacted Laurence Fournier-Beaudry.

With nine highly technical figures, their flawless performance today for the free program was a success. The French couple was the clear favorite in the competition. They already had a comfortable lead of over six points after their performance yesterday in the rhythm dance to a Madonna classic.

Throughout these four days of competition in Prague, the French team dazzled fans from around the world. This was the final competition for their first season together. Currently, the champions will take a vacation before considering the possibility of starting over, with their sights set on the 2030 Winter Olympics in France.
