On Saturday, Italian Fabio Di Giannantonio secured pole position at the end of the MotoGP Grand Prix of the Americas qualifying rounds.

Fabio Di Giannantonio was the fastest. This Saturday in Austin, Texas, the Italian clinched the pole position at the end of the qualifying session of this third round of the MotoGP World Championship (which consists of 22 rounds). The Ducati-VR46 rider did the same as he did in Brazil last week. At the finish line, the Italian dominated one of his fellow countrymen, Marco Bezzecchi.

The latter is the current leader of the world championship for riders and has won the last four Grand Prix in this premier category. The third and final rider starting on the front line will be the Spanish rider Pedro Acosta, riding his KTM. On his side, Spanish Marc Marquez, a member of the Ducati team and the reigning world champion in the specialty, had to settle for the sixth place of the day.

French riders left behind

Ahead of him in fourth place, we find his teammate, Italian Francesco Bagnaia. In fifth place, there is another Spaniard, Joan Mir. The Honda rider surprised, after having to go through Q1, the first part of qualifying, to then be certain of being among the candidates for the pole position of this Grand Prix of the Americas.

Behind, on the third row, there will be the Spaniards Jorge Martin (Aprilia), Alex Marquez (Ducati-Gresini), and the Italian Luca Marini (Honda). On the other hand, this weekend continues to be quite complicated for the French, who were absent from the Q2. Johann Zarco (Honda-LCR) will start from the fifteenth position, just ahead of his compatriot Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha). The sprint race will take place this Saturday evening at 9:00 pm and the Grand Prix on Sunday evening at 10:00 pm.
