The meeting reviewed the results of implementing tasks related to scientific and technological development, innovation, digital transformation, and Project 06, as well as administrative reform during the past period, and discussed key tasks for the future.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the need to focus on creating and improving essential national databases, such as those related to land, public administration, social security, health, education, and training. He also highlighted the importance of building smart and modern digital service ecosystems, stimulating consumer demand in the digital environment, significantly developing e-commerce linked to cashless payments, and accelerating the deployment of smart cities, smart border gates, and smart seaports on a national scale. Finally, he stressed the importance of creating a favorable environment for the development of digital technology companies, encouraging startups and innovation, promoting the development of the national technology market, and prioritizing the use of Vietnamese digital products and services.

Ministries and agencies, in coordination with the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Public Security, must review and amend regulations, simplify administrative procedures, reduce the number of required documents, reuse existing data in databases, effectively utilize the National Data Center, and ensure 100% online access to eligible public services throughout the process. The Ministry of Justice will lead and coordinate with ministries and agencies to cut 50% of the time and costs associated with complying with administrative procedures, continue to reduce 30% of sectors subject to conditions, and eliminate all unnecessary conditions.

Stressing the importance of “choosing the right tasks, assigning the right people, ensuring regular follow-up, measuring accurately, solving problems quickly, making positive changes, and guaranteeing tangible results,” Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed confidence that the development of science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, and Project 06 will lead to breakthroughs, contributing to achieving double-digit growth goals in the coming period, realizing the two centennial goals, and making the country a prosperous, civilized, dynamic, and happy nation, steadily progressing towards socialism.
