The fields of the Stade Pierre Ilbert in Cahors hosted the Pitch U13 Festival this Saturday. Organized by the Lot Football District, this day brought together nearly two hundred young players representing sixteen teams from across the department.
“There were thirty-four Lot teams initially involved, and sixteen teams qualified for this day after three regional gatherings,” explains Departmental Technical Counselor Edgard Mposa Gonda.
Throughout a rainy day, the sixteen present teams, representing clubs such as AF Biars Bretenoux, Cahors FC, PSVD’Olt, Val Roc Foot / FCHQ, Entente Cajarc Cenevieres Football / Causse Sud, Entente Souillac Lachapelle Gignac, Causse Limargue, Figeac Capdenac QFC, Elan Marivalois, Cazals Labastide Saint-Germain, Haut Ceyl Ségala Foot, and Montcabrier PPFC, participated in small seven-minute matches (each team playing five games), technical challenges (juggling, ball control, shooting on goal, etc.), and a quiz on game rules and life rules.
PSVD’Olt emerged as the winner of the day, which ended with a snack and awards ceremony. They will represent Lot at the regional final on May 2nd and 3rd in Blagnac.
