The CAC Sud 22 held its general assembly at the MFR de Loudéac on Saturday, March 28. President Anita Rouault highlighted that the association, celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, has been able to maintain and evolve over the years. In various areas such as the Breton language, theater, heritage, community life, media, and youth, the CAC Sud has continued to grow in skills, support more associations, reach out to new audiences, and collaborate with other local entities. The challenge for 2026 is not only to sustain what works but also to plan for the future. It’s important to know how to utilize the place we have found.

Young people are a priority! Each department presented their 2025 achievements and 2026 projects. Members were impressed by the strong presence of CAC Sud 22 in the field, particularly in heritage, theater, support, and community life, with a focus on reaching out to young people through initiatives like podcasting. Financially, the association noted a decreasing dependency on subsidies, partly due to increased membership and service fees.

Beatrice Boulanger, a departmental councilor, praised the organization’s dynamism and confirmed the Department’s financial support. Kaourintine Hulaud, the vice-president of the Region for Breton languages, applauded the collective effort of the staff and volunteers led by a dynamic, passionate president who motivates everyone. She mentioned that the Region will continue to support associations in language and cultural domains.

On May 1st and 2nd, the CAC Sud 22 will celebrate its 40th anniversary at the municipal hall in Loudéac. The event will feature workshops, exhibitions, and activities, and is free and open to all.
