In Marne, poetry enthusiasts, increasingly numerous, are invited to an evening filled with prose, rhymes, and other verses on Friday, April 17. In the Barbara room of the association, the Leisure Culture Space of Montmirail is organizing a free poetry evening for the second time.

    An Open Stage

The first part of this evening will be dedicated to poets and singers who have come for the occasion. The famous French poet Arthur Rimbaud will be among the highlighted artists during this moment of sharing. The second part of the evening will be organized in an open stage format. The cultural association of the town invites lovers of classic, modern, Slam, and song-texts to come and express themselves with kindness. “You can listen, participate, applaud, and even laugh for free,” adds the communication department of the ELC.

Just like during the first poetry evening held on January 16, author Jean-Louis Vallois will again lead the event. Known for his poetry, but also for his historical detective novels set in Montmirail, Jean-Louis Vallois has just released a brand new novel called Keena, the bike, and the photos. A sort of auto-fiction for which he was notably doing book signings this February.
